Hurting Hearts

Tonight my heart hurts for several people I love... for a friend who is dealing with the untimely death of a mentor and friend. I say untimely because it was not by the hand of God that she passed, but by her own hand. For a friend whose life is being torn apart by someone elses addictions. Satan is trying his hardest to knock down these precious children of God's. I have the ability to reach out and love them in their times of need because they are people who I am close to... but it just makes me think and wonder. How many other people are hurting today?

Easter Sunday. Jesus ROSE FROM THE DEAD. He got up, and walked right out of that tomb, left it empty. EMPTY so that we can have life... now THAT is love!!! This day is meant to be a day that we celebrate. A day that we remember and marvel at the incredible sacrifice that was made for us... every one of us - even a sinner with a heart as black as mine. How dare satan get in the way and cast such a dark cloud over it?!?!

Friends, please look around you and consider who is hurting. Who needs a word of encouragement, a hug, a helping hand? Are you praying for your friends, that God will reveal the hurt in their lives and allow you to come along side them and build them up, loving them back to healing through Christ?

My heart is heavy, but tonight I am deciding to choose joy.

Psalm 30:10-12
Hear, O LORD, and be merciful to me;
O LORD, be my help."
You turned my wailing into dancing;
you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy,
that my heart may sing to you and not be silent.
O LORD my God, I will give you thanks forever.
